About David

Hello! I'm David, originally from Barcelona (1997). I'm currently navigating my final year as a Ph.D. student in Organic Chemistry at the University of Oxford. My journey in science has been both challenging and rewarding, and I've developed a keen interest in making complex scientific ideas more accessible to everyone.

This blog started as a small idea back in January 2024, following some enjoyable experiences I had explaining the 2022 and 2023 Nobel Prizes “for dummies”. The positive response from those events inspired me to create a space where these prestigious awards could be discussed and understood by anyone, regardless of their background in science.

Here, I post biweekly entries focused on the Nobel Prizes in Medicine, Physics, and Chemistry, starting with those awarded in 1901 and going all the way up to the present day. My goal is simple: to break down the details of these awards in a way that's easy to grasp and interesting, even for those who might not have a scientific background. I hope to shed light on why these discoveries are significant and how they impact our world.

This blog is a little window into the world of science, a place where curiosity is the driving force. Whether you're a science enthusiast, a student, or just casually interested, I hope you find these posts informative and engaging.

Welcome aboard, and let's explore the fascinating world of Nobel Prizes together!
